During the month of August, the ever-popular Centre de Cultura Contemporània stages open-air concerts in its spacious courtyard. Tchica & Marrabenta Fusion, featured mid-month, play an explosive cocktail of Argentine, Uruguayan and Portuguese-African sounds and rhythms. The four-piece band is led by Tchica on guitar and vocals and Cristóbal Montesdeoca on piano, keyboards and voice. Entrance is free, but a drink at the bar is mandatory.

Titanic
Winner of five Tony Awards, the story of the doomed liner was turned into a huge Broadway smash in 1997. With great special effects, this haunting musical weaves the epic tale of the courage and cowardice, the lives and loves of Titanic’s crew. This national touring production has amazing costumes and a set comprising of illuminated portholes, a deck that tilts and lightning that runs the colour spectrum and is a visual wonder.
